Painting

I only produced 4 paintings. Unfortunately, I lost records and photos because of the flood that destroys some of my earlier files. It includes my work samples in my time at an advertising agency. The only recollection I got are the titles:

1. Title: Cross Culture (in mixed media, 1991) - I was recognized by Cultural Center of the Philippines through this painting because among the amateurs that submitted, I was told that I was among the chosen few who has been given the break to exhibit my work. Later, my work was taken by the national artist himself named BenCab (the organizer of Baguio Arts Festival) and was displayed among the works of the known artist. My work was never bought and it was returned to me after the exhibit date, because I did not put any price tag on it. I was glad I had that experienced and I donated the painting to Metropolitan Museum of Manila. I do not know if they will give attention to my work because I am unknown. Nonetheless, I still left it there and donated it.

2. Title: Amazing Grace (Mixed watercolor and ink, 2000) - it reflects my being a graphic designer then. But it was unorthodox as I mixed my unique version of caligraphy and drawn images. I no longer remember where I archived it.

3. Title: Untitled (Acrylic on Canvass) - it's an abstract painting I left at Metrobank.

4. Title: Cross Culture too (Oil on Canvass) - it's an abstract painting I left at Metrobank.


I don't have formal eduction on painting but have tried eventhough.

Photography

I personally took below pictures in Singapore. I attended various seminars when I was there, namely:

I. Seminar in Audio engineering, Digital Broadcasting and Digital film making
-introductory seminar sponsored by SAE Institute Singapore.

My exposure to photography was first enhance when I was hired by an Advertising firm in the Philippines (my first job after college). Later I attended Photography class at Cultural Center of the Philippines for added enhancement. Included in the knowledge I acquired then was film developing of black and white photography and lighting effects . Shortly after the seminar, I was hired by a corporate firm. Since then, my exposures in photography were seldom used.

As earlier mentioned, below photos were taken years after my last exposures and it was taken at Singapore.

T-shirt Design

When I was just starting in the art world, I could not believe what I experienced. Then I was able to produced few simple designs for T-shirt. I got more negative comments than positive. My peers said that my design was non traditional and too offensive. Later I allow my brother to show my designs to his contact shirt supplier/printers. He returned home with negative feedback. After a few months, I could not believe what I saw on almost every shirt selling marketplace. I saw shirts being sold everywhere with my design. Worst to it is it sold like hot cakes and are worn by many whereever I go. I heard it even reach far places and probably even other countries. My idea and design was stolen by a big firm and I was too young then to know my legal rights. After that I was hired again by corporate firm. I was occassionally ask to design but only for company events like bowling challenges and marketing kick-of. It's only know that I tried designing again.
